Can a pump and filter have too much flow for a small pool?

I just bought a small 14x8 Bestway pool and was looking to get an Intex saltwater and sand filter system. There's a 1500 GPH and a 2150 GPH system on amazon and the 2150 GPH is currently cheaper. Both use 1.5" hoses, is there anything bad about getting the 2150 GPH model? I'm sure it uses more electricity but at the same time it'd cycle the water faster and generate more cholorine so I wouldn't have to run it as long. Thanks!

Get the biggest pump/filter for your pool you can afford. AGP filters are notoriously small.

A bigger pump will not generate more chlorine. Flow doesn't matter. Generator will create the same amount of chlorine high flow or low flow. If the two units have different cells, then you might get more or less chlorine.

Post links and we'll look at 'em.

Turnover is a myth.

Thanks! The bigger pump comes with a bigger generator, 11 g/hour vs 7 g/hour.
