Bugs in Pool

Hi,

Can you please help me identify these nasty looking bugs that we found in the pool. They were on the shallow end on the steps. They are maybe a quarter of an inch long and were alive. My water is well balanced, Chlorine 4.5, PH 5, CYA 40, Alkalinity 70, Calcium 300.

Looks like it might be a Boatman bug. Regardless of how nice the water is, some insects still seem to find their way to our pools. My pool is being over-run with beetles. Ugh. See the link below for more info. I think maybe a type above for your pH? 7.5 I hope?

Thanks for the advice. They are not boatman, but I have still not been able to identify them. I've asked my bug control guy and am still waiting for an answer. It was a typo, 7.5 not 5.
