Purchased one and got it 4 days ago.. I don't know if it's really worth it or not. Yesterday, very bright sunny day, the thing seemed like it didn't know where to go. Pretty much stayed at the deep end and went forward and backwards, not even going anywhere but 4 to 5 feet. Is the bright reflection stopping it from going? Flying backwards way past 10' and losing some debris also. Maybe defective? How do you guys like it?

Are you running any water features or swimmers that disturb the water when you're testing the robot? Mine will behave as yours does with the back and forth thing when I have the bubblers on otherwise it works great! Even if it's only a slight water disturbance it's enough to upset my SE Plus. I asked Betta about it and they said it was designed for calm water operation only but also offered to exchange it if I wanted to. If your water is calm and it's doing this I would get a replacement. I'm very happy with my Betta SE Plus.

No water features. VSP is running at low speed so there is no issues there. Water is not being disturbed at all besides that being in there. It actually was running great right out of the box for 2 days. Turning before hitting wall.. Now it slams into it.
