This has been an ungodly pollen season so far. Anyone from the Atlanta area (or other pollen heavy locales) able to recommend a good skimming robot?

Right now it looks like a layer of snot is floating on my pool(disgusting but true). I use skimmer socks and the attached photo is 2 days after being cleaned. It's been like that or worse all season.

Do the skimmer robots do a great job on pollen? My dolphin is fantastic for the bottom, so I'm really hoping the skimmer robots are worth it.

Thanks all.

Make sure your skimmer action is good for the surface. You don't want the water to be too high or too low in the pool. You want it in the middle of your skimmer plate for best action. check your returns to make sure they're moving the water right under the surface too to help move things along to the filter.

Well I found cowboycasey's thread about the Ariel, which isn't even shipping yet, but i think I'm going to try it as soon as I can get one.

Thanks for everyone's input.

We have the Betta solar skimmer. Expensive for what it does, but it is a timesaver. Our neighbors have a cherry tree that tends to blow blossoms into our pool and it did a great job of collecting that. It does a good job overall but it's very basic and a little quirky.

Can you link us to Cowboy’s thread? Edit: Never mind, found it.

Glad you found it, I'm hoping this will be a good solution!
Pricey though! I expressed interest but may hold off until several have tested it. My skimmer really works well as it is - just fills too quickly when pollen is bad.
