Hi all - I'd like to add a natural gas heater to my above-ground pool to extend the summer swimming months and to ensure warm swimming for parties and guests. A few facts:
I'm sure this topic has been covered so if you know of a good, current thread, please point me in the right direction. I'm a newbie as the pool was installed last year.
Thanks!
- Above-ground 24-foot, round Doughboy w/52 inch sidewall
- 17,000 gallon capacity
- DE filter
- No current heater so I will need to run a new gas line
- Live in East Lansing MI so it can be cold in May and September
- I use a pool cover every night
- I enjoy a good IPA (not sure this is relevant)
- I've considered solar and a heat pump system but just don't think they are right for our family
- I've heard good things about Hayward's and my pool guy thinks Raypaks are great.
