Best above-ground pool robot cleaner?

What's the best above-ground pool robot cleaner?

I'm seeing Dolphin Nautilus CC, Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus, and Dolphin E10.

I used to have an Aquabot Junior. He was good, but def. had his issues. Constantly untangling the cord, and although the filter did a great job at catching everything, it was very painful to clean (bag filter, you had to turn it inside out then spray with a hose, constantly adjusting to get into all the nooks and crannies and folds of the bag). The intake flaps broke a bunch of times, and now the repair cost for another busted one is basically pushing the value of the rover.

What do you guys recommend? A lot of the recommendations I'm finding for AGPs are 2020 or earlier, and this seems like an industry that's constantly rolling out new models.

Thank you for your time!

Man the prices on some of these bad boys is steep! The Dolphin Active 60 is $1900! Can I get a car for that price? Yeah a used beater, but still....

The Dolphin Active 20 is a cool $1100. Better but still, dang man! I forget what I dropped on the Aquabot Junior but I think it was like $500 maybe?

EDIT: Prices that you linked are better at least! $1000 for the Dolphin Active 20.

give them a call or email and the prices get even better.. They have been supporting us for a couple years now and they are a great company :)

We just broke down and bought the Dolphin Sigma & hope it isn’t too strong for our above ground pool liner. I wanted a robot for us as we are getting old & tired sometimes. We’ve never had one , so can’t wait to be relieved of a two hour vacuum job that leaves silt anyway on the floor . We get algae on the walls occasionally too that is a real pain to scrub & eliminate once it starts . We got free shipping, 100$ discount & price was better than Amazon, ( under 1200$) I really wouldn’t trust a big purchase like this from Amazon anyway .
Hope you find/like something soon & enjoy your pool !

Did you buy from Marina also? If not, where did you end up getting your Dolphin?

I have the nautilus cc as I wanted automation mode & the longer cable but an E10 or equivalent would work just fine as well with a lower price tag.

@Jennmahanio a robot (or any cleaner) will not overcome algae even though it may physically remove some- that is a chemistry issue & requires the SLAM Process to eliminate/eradicate. Feel free to start a new thread & we can help you put an end to that.
