Moderator comment: This post was separated out from this thread: Becsys5 problems
I don't mean to hijack this thread, but for the life of me I can't find the new thread option. I also have a becsys5 the utilizes ppm as well as orp, for ease of operation for less experienced operators I have chosen to use PPM probe for the controller ORP is hooked up, but only displays ORP. I came across a problem this past friday where I could not calibrate the controller to the actual ppm reading. I am able to turn down the calibration, but not exceed the current value. For example controller was reading 3.7 ppm and my actual test (from dpd test kit) was 4.2 ppm thats FC. I've been told by a vendor that I need to gel the PPM probe and once I do that the sensor will come back into range. I am curious to know if anyone else has had this problem.
Thanks,
