Pool details in signature. I have an inline tablet feeder, which works awesome until my cya reaches 70 then I have to switch to liquid chlorine. I'm on a well and while I can top off, my safe limit is about 150 gallons per day so besides heavy rain (which we do get fairly frequently during early and late season in the northeast) I am usually trying to keep my pool full. I also keep it at 87 degrees which causes some pretty significant evaporation on a daily basis with night Temps hitting the high 50s low 60s. So, my cya continues to climb. I keep the chlorine low because I have a mineral system but this pool is in direct sunlight for most of the day so it goes through chlorine quickly. I go through about 4 to 5 tablets per week which shoots my cya up high pretty fast. It does seem to get removed by alge in the winter which is good, but 5 tablets per week adds about 25ppm cya, in one week! Therefore besides vacations or weekends away I'm going to stop using the feeder. Finally my question.....
Why..... Are..... There..... Almost no.... Liquid chlorine automation/helper tools in this market? .... I want to put about 30oz liquid chlorine in my pool per day. Due to all of the reasons above you would think tools to assist this would be extremely popular and this would be a common problem, but all that's out there is a few one off products that seem special purpose or are seldom used... Why? I'm not even talking about high tech, I'd even settle for a Nice cap for the chlorine jug that has a spigot in it! But better yet some sort of controlled gravity drip that you put on the edge of the pool. Even better some kind of inline drip. I know there are 2 companies that make electric ones, but it's a drip I think it can be simpler and cheaper!
Why is there seemingly no well adopted solutions to make dispensing liquid chlorine easier, other than handling a 5 gallon jug of nasty chlorine and pouring it into my container staining my clothes every time and doing this every day... What don't I know? Why is there this seemingly glaring missing piece to this puzzle, where am I missing here? There must be something I'm missing!
