Are there LED pool bulbs to replace old halogen pool bulbs?

Hello! My pool is currently empty and under renovation. I took this time to try and replace the light bulbs in my pool. This pool is kinda old...originally built in 1991. I successfully changed the bulb in the spa. But I have this big halogen bulb in the deep end, and it's discontinued.

I'm feeling overwhelmed because for some odd reason, the pool reno people do not replace light bulbs. They only replace the entire fixture.

Are there LED bulbs that are equivalent to what I have? It's the Halco 104026 which is a BR30.

Thank you for any assistance in hopefully finding a bulb that'll fit/work.

The internet says its incandescent. xBR30 Bulged Reflector Incandescent Bulb 12V 100W 2700K (E26) 12V Clear Dimmable

Any standard lightbulb can replace that, even LED. But you may find the LED replacements dont last cery long.

Hi @Bperry ! Perhaps I used the wrong term regarding incandescent vs halogen. When I first ordered the replacement bulb, it was on this website, but then they emailed me saying it's discontinued and that I need the Halco 104026 BR30.

It looks pretty similar. But when I click on the link you provided, it doesn't say it's for pools. I think I came across this before and was unsure. Does it not need to say it's specifically for a pool?

The light bulb socket is exactly the same as whats in your house. My pool light bulb looks very similar but its 500W and says its lifespan is about 40 hours so i dont turn it on much.

Most of the fixtures are sealed with a big o-ring so it should be fine to use any bulb. If you put a new bulb in and it burns out within a couple hours you’ll know the seal isnt working. 🤣

Edit: mine is 120V AC and that bulb is 12V so you cant just go installing any bulb like I said, I assume you need a 12V model.

With a 12V incandescent bulb you have to pay attention to the wattage so you don't draw to much amperage.

This LED should work Amazon link. Just make sure you get the 12V and that your transformer is also able to handle to load.

12V bulbs with that base are not that common. 120V are available, but that would require more changes. LEDs in my experience seem to fail as often or more so than incandescent, the drivers in the LEDs seem to be more of the issue.
