I bought an aquastar pipeline filter over a year ago but just had it installed over the weekend after a new liner install. I turned on the motor and all sorts of nastiness (algae, DE powder and crud) blew into the pool from the lines. In under 20 minutes the water was clear. The only issue was when we turned on the motor the filter had a gush of water coming out then several drips. We took it apart a dozen times to mess with the oring and lid. We got it down to a slower drip but it can't stay this way so today I called the company. They answered immediately and then she told me to email the warranty dept. I sent them a description of the issue and within an hour they requested a video and serial number. I sent the information and within another hour they emailed me asking for my address to send a replacement oring.
Pros:
Pros:
- fantastic customer service
- simplistic design that takes minutes to remove filter, clean and reinstall
- water clarity is superb to my old DE filter that spewed DE powder if I had to turn the motor off/on
- pressure is 8 when clean (old DE filter was 12)
- had an issue with o-ring on first use
