I have an Aquanaut 400 cleaner that is 4-5 years old. I just replaced the tires a couple of weeks ago, and it worked great, but now it's not moving properly. I took it apart and found the drive shaft gears (the ones that move the wheels) are mostly stripped, front and back. Looking at replacement parts, it's going to be around $200. I wonder if I replace these, what's going to break next? The vanes inside are getting loose and sloppy, too.
At this point, I'm thinking it's not that much more to buy a new one.
I'm happy with the performance of the Aquanaut, but is there anything in its price range that's any better?
I have absolutely zero interest in a robotic cleaner. I like my automatic cleaning and I don't want to have to remember to put it in and take it out all the time. I live in a breezy area and leaves blow in daily.

Thank you!
