Anyone had success keeping up an easy set over winter?

We have a 15'x48" easy set pool (inflatable ring around the top). Per the manufacturer, it is not recommended to keep them up during winter if you're in a location that experiences freezing temperatures. Our winters are fairly mild, but we do occasionally have freezing temps overnight. I was curious to know if anyone in a similar location had ever attempted to keep an easy set up even with freezing temperatures and, if so, what were the issues you encountered.

I don’t have an easy set but I don’t think I’d want to leave one up over the winter. Typically for above ground pools the water is lowered below the skimmer and return openings and all hoses removed. With an easy set it wouldn’t be possible to do that, so you’d have to plug the openings and remove the hoses. This isn’t impossible, in-ground pool owners have to plug their returns, but mostly Im thinking about any potential damage to the inflatable ring during the winter.

Seems easier to drain and store to me but I could be wrong.
