Hello,
I have an old American Products DE filter which still works fine except for the air relief valve that's started to leak around the fitting where the threads are. Pictures attached.
Problem is I'm having trouble locating the correct air relief valve as the replacement parts I've checked all only have threads on the outside, not the inside as I need as my filter housing has a SS threaded fitting as shown on the attached pics. I've tried Pentair 98209804 and 98209800 but they don't fit as there are no threads on the inside of the unit. Leslie's have checked their inventory and can't find a replacement part.
Appreciate any advice and help. Perhaps it's time to buy a new filter but thought I'd ask TFP experts first
Thanks
Craig

It may be easier to just get an adapter to go from that filter (male) stem to something (female) that will accept a regular pressure gauge. Below is an example of what I a, thinking about. The size may not be correct, but you get the idea. Your local hardware store might have something like this.
