Adding Poly 60 after shocking pool

Hi, welcome to TFP! You should wait till the chlorine drops into normal range before adding poly 60. However, if you have algae the poly 60 will not kill it. Do you currently have a green pool?

I went to a pool place yesterday and they said to shock with 4 bags again today (Saturday) then add the Poly 60 but they didnt tell me how long to wait inbetween. No its starting to clear up its kindof a blueish color.

You are welcome! Ok, so it looks like it should clear up as long as you keep the filter going and the chlorine level up. We would have told you to use the SLAM Process to clear the pool. If you would like to learn more about the TFP method of pool care we will be happy to teach you. You can read a little more about it here: What is TFPC? - Trouble Free Pool
