Happy Sunday!!! Last year my pool skimmer was leaking and I was able to stop it temporarily with an immense amount of epoxy. Before I open the pool this year I wanted to replace the skimmer assembly and return jet. I am not sure the brand of pool so ordering a replacement skimmer to match is almost impossible.

My current skimmer dimensions are as follows:
Outside dimension: 14"W x 8"H
Inside of skimmer dimensions:11.5"W x 5.5"H

Does anyone have any recommendations for a replacement skimmer that will work with my existing opening? Will i most likely need to drill new holes?
My skimmer also has a support arm that I am not sure is needed(picture attached) if not how do i remove the support arm?
The pool is currently filled and the water level is 2" below the skimmer. When i replace the skimmer do I need to worry about the weight of the water bulling the lining down?

As always thank you for the help and expertise.

If that is the mouth OPENING, you have a widemouth skimmer, any brand model will do :)
Hayward, Hydrotools and Poolmaster through-wall skimmers all have similar bolt pattern & mouth openings :) Basically it's color preference

If it is off by quite a bit, you could opt for patching and moving the skimmer location, if that is an option.

Can you post a picture of the mouth of the skimmer? Does the lid have a brand/name on it?

Hi Splashpad the inside dimension is 11.5"W x 5.5"H.

Not sure if patching would be an option. Do you recommend patching and moving? Please see additional pictures attached of the exterior skimmer and a picture of the interior mouth.

Thanks for the help.

Also there is some rust at the bottom of the skimmer and return jet most likely from the gaskets failing. I am not sure if there is enough rust that I should also install a stainless steel repair panel at both locations. Thoughts?

If it's not rusted the point of failing, can you remove the rust and coat those areas with a rust prevention/deterrent product?

Take a look at the wall, pulling the liner away from the opening to see what condition the wall is in. If its rusted and part of the wall is corroded, I would use the sheet metal repair.
We had rust at the skimmer and return openings that ate away part of the wall and the openings where you screw in the skimmer because the gaskets did fail. It required a sheet metal panel bolted to the wall to give it the strength and stability it needed. The new gaskets now are butterfly gaskets so no metal is exposed to the water. It worked well.
