21' liner in a 20' intex Pool?

Went to set up my Intex 20' steel frame above ground pool and the liner appears to be done - many small leaks around the seams at the bottom. Of course replacement liner at intex is out of stock. I have found one place that has 20' foot liners but they too are out of stock. Seriously thinking of picking up a 25mil 21' liner and just "overlaping" as so many here have done before. I know I will have tons of wrinkles - but other than the wrinkles can anyone else think of a reason this wouldn't work? I have small leaks but structurally sound - so structurally the old intex liner should keep the new thinner liner from blowing out the sides right?

Yes, your Intex liner would be a good support since it doesn’t have major holes.

I‘m not sure the 21’ is going to be big enough though. You want plenty of overlap since you will have to rig something to keep liner in place... you don’t have a top track like regular AGPs have. It’s been awhile since I read one of the threads where someone has done what you want to do. Maybe take a look at one or two of those threads to see how much bigger they went.
