1HP pump the same GPM output as the 1.5HP version of the same pump?

I am looking at two pumps.

1HP and a 1.5HP
Both are dual speed

According to the "specifications" PDF document the 1HP and 1.5HP have the same GPM curve. However the electrical savings is 33% on the 1HP.

I was going to do the 1.5HP, but I don't see a logical reason to not go "smaller" if the end output is the same. Is there something I'm missing?

The 1.5 and 1 HP both have the same curve. I mean it doesn't sound right, but if it is true then it would be a waste to spend $100 more to get the 1.5 HP if the 1HP is basically the same GPM.

I think I'm going to go with a 1HP, but didn't know if anyone else has any experience. I plan to use the low speed most of the time and this pump doesn't have a curve for the low speed which is strange.
