1 gallon paint strainer as a filter basket sock?

Anyone ever use a 1 gallon paint strainer as a filter sock? The material feels cloth like. I use the 5 gallon version when I crush and strain honey from my beehives.

I use the 1-gal strainers from HD. It's my favorite. Once full, I turn it inside-out and beat it against my chain link fence and reuse it over & over. I can literally use it all season long. Works just fine for me and all my TX bugs, dog hair, and everything else tiny.

Used the paint strainer until I read about hairnets!!! You get a bunch of them for a little $$$ and just throw them away when they are dirty.
