    My first pool opening

I just read: "Just Filled Your Pool with Water? Here's What To Do Next - Further Reading" in the wiki section. If I understand correctly, the first thing to do is to add CYA, then FC and salt on the same day, and follow the next steps. Regarding the salt, is this type okay? And do you know how...

    My first pool opening

Hi everyone, I recently got a new house with an inground pool, and we just replaced the vinyl in the pool, so it's filled with fresh water. I live in Quebec, Canada, where spring is starting (around 10°C). I've ordered a saltwater generator (SWG) system, which will be installed this weekend...

Hi again I have a 14,000-gallon pool Would a 25,000-gallon cell be sufficient, or is it significantly better to opt for the 40,000-gallon one? Interestingly, the 40,000-gallon option is available at the same price as an open-box item, but replacement cells are very more expensive

Hi, I just recalculated my pool size. The previous owner mentioned that it was 90,000 liters, but to confirm, I measured the perimeter and depth. It turns out that my pool is actually only 15,000 gallons, which is approximately 52,000 liters , I could go with 40k anyway

    Irregular pool size

I don't have a water meter, so I asked AI, and I'm going to measure the perimeter of the pool by dividing it into two parts: the shallow end and the deep end. Then, I'll calculate the volume easily , :)

Hello yes, these are store-bought test results I've ordered a kit and am waiting for it to arrive. Should I use liquid chlorine gradually until I achieve a reasonable CYA to FC ratio, and then adjust the other values? Thank you.
