Our pool is a few months old and we see cracking in the grout between the coping stones (see pictures). Our contractor claims this is normal for California. Is this really the case? Seems like a lot of cracks for a few months.

Yes looks like a lot less bubbles in the returns without the generator running. I’ll keep an eye on that and see. Not sure if there was silicone applied to the pump lid. I’m not sure how hard you are supposed to have to twist to get it to line up with the marks for sealing, but I have to pull...

Thank you! Yes we do in fact have a generator, that may be what’s going on. I’ll try turning it off and see what happens.

I have been seeing bubbles in my returns in the pool. It's not always a lot, but enough that I am concerned. There are also bubbles coming into the pump basket from the supply side, again not much but enough to be concerned. Please see this video: and this for bubbles in the pool This...
