I may be off-track here, but have you considered that the display is broken? Ours went out in 2018 and we replaced it and the PCB. Amazon has some cheap ones that you could check out. Search for "pentair pool heater display" on Amazon. That would at least let you see if the display lights up...

Thinking about the sediment: we had our heater replaced last week Friday (9 days ago). Perhaps the sediment is from the new heater or got released when removing the old one? And maybe the cloudiness?

Water is clear this morning after letting pump run all night. There was still some brownish sediment on floor in shallow end, but much much less than earlier in the week. Thanks @PoolStored for the assistance.

Clearer water this evening. I added MA earlier to bring down ph and alkalinity. Filter running all day at 2500 rpm.

I just checked my salt level. With the lack of rain it is now at 4200. I've searched the forums but cannot find whether the high salt level can cause cloudiness. I can add some water to get it down. Pump is now clean and has new tubing and new pressure gauge. However the pressure gauge barely moves at 3000rpm. We had a couple gradually dying extra large potted poinsettias on the patio until last Sunday since Xmas so I figured that could be the source.
