Hello, I have a nautilus 72 that just broke at the upper pipe junction (where it attaches to the backwash valve). The cost of a new pipe and bulkhead fittings is close to the $450 range assuming I can even find the parts in stock. I haven't tried looking to see if there is a diy solution yet. If anyone knows where to get cheaper cost bulkheads please let me know.

I checked for some used filters and found a 60sqft filter which is smaller than the existing unit. They say it has no leaks and the filters are in tact and still good will most likely go this route.

There are also a few 48sqft filters on there.

pool specs
26k gallon
3hp b&d variable speed pump
2" piping
SWG

If I were to go for the 60sqft would it be ok or should I be looking for something larger? Assuming it is no longer available, would a 48sqft work?

Have a choice between 2 units, not sure which is better or newer but the 4k series doesn't require a backwash valve which I like.
