I am wanting to perform an OCLT to find out if the white film on the pool walls is algae or something else. I know the IC40 turns on and off as the pump does, but is there a way to manually shut down the swg while running the pump? The IC40 is not on its own breaker.

Also, the IC40 started showing the low salt light several days ago despite the salt level being adequate with the tfpro test kit. Salinity has dropped from 3400 to 3000 in the last 9 days. Any ideas why swg is showing low salt?

Put the % generation to 0.
The Intellicenter is showing the lower salt ppm or your testing?

The swg has a led for low salt that has been showing for several days. I don’t think I have a salt water sensor for the intellicenter.

Lam,

I suggest that you bring your 'Actual' salt level up to 3400 and check what the cell reports again..

If the actual salt level, measured by your TFPro, is 3400 and the cell is showing a low salt light, then most likely the thermistor inside the flow switch assy is bad.. If under warranty, have your Pentair come fix it.. If out of warranty, you can install a new flow switch yourself..

If you decide to do the DIY repair, please let us know first as there are a few additional things you will need to know.

Thanks,

Jim R.
