Got Schooled by my Taylor K-2006C - Big thanks to TFP!

Went away for 3 weeks and had son check FC and CyA and vacuum weekly. All good when we came back to clear blue water!

FC 2.0, added Chlorine and raised SWCG to 31% output (from 26%). Temp is 89-91 and it has been sunny beaming hot lately.
CyA 60, added some
pH 7.8
TA 75 ppm
CH 275

Clear blue pool!

UV lights went out on the Paramount Sanitizer. Could be bulbs, could be ballast.
After reading around the forum I decided to save money and not replace them.
Will monitor chemistry for the rest of the summer and will see if this changes anything.

Technically you'll have less UV loss. :ROFLMAO:

If you don't see a difference, then the rinky dink residential unit really wasn't doing anything.

^ right, you mean less TC loss right?

Turns out one of the "eye" on the return line had popped out (was in the deep end and I didn't see it right away.
This reduced the pressure in the system which caused the lamps to turn off.
I replaced the eye in its socket. Lamps turned on.

Then I turned the whole UV unit off. Saving ~120 watts a day.

FC 9.0
CyA 60
Carrying on....

End of November I checked the Chlorine, it was at 4. I added a gallon of Chlorine.
Pool was still not covered, cause I jigged it so the lights can stay on some nights ;)
Today I added another gallon, cleaned the few leaves out and covered it.
