Results this morning - PH 7.5
Fc - 2.75
CC - .75
Ch - 250
Cya - 50
I couldn’t get an accurate Alk reading - I quit keeping count at 100 drops 🙈

My fc was 8.0 yesterday - Help!

Hi Kel,

Algae isn't always green. Usually, cloudy water means algae. Your FC levels are too low for you CYA level FC/CYA Levels.

How do you test your water?

It looks like you were able to test TA a couple days ago at 90. Maybe a testing error?

You should do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test to confirm the presence of algae.

Best wishes!

Def could be a testing error or I could have input the numbers he gave me incorrectly , lol. I use a Taylor testing kit - my husband will test again once he gets back home Sunday. I’m not able to go outside right now as I broke BOTH my ankles 4-23 so we are working on the pool now mainly cause I will be doing some PT in the pool hopefully when I get clearance from the Dr this week! But it’s come a LONG way from where it was 2 weeks ago when it was totally green / black and nasty so I will update new test results on Sunday. Thanks for answering!

The cloudy water and the length of time below min FC levels means you will need to follow the SLAM Process

pH is already where you need it for the slam so now just have to add FC up to slam level of 16. Don't worry about any of the other tests until you pass the 3 criteria in SLAM process.

Hopefully it will clear quick so you can use it to help with your ankles.
