Just looking for tips about handling this as I don't entirely trust the pool company who installed this pool last year.
Picture attached of a small (2-inch) crack near the top of our 1-year-old Blue Hawaiian fiberglass pool. The installer sent someone who spoke of it being probably just a "gel layer crack". He acted like we should just ignore it or put tile over it but that's not their final word at this point.
Granted it doesn't seem deep or all the way through but you can slide a fingernail over it and it feels like a crack.
We are new to pools but ignoring or covering a small crack doesn't sound smart to me. Also, isn't it a bit early to see a crack forming at top? Should I question if the install was correct or if there might be an uneven stress here?
Looking for tips, advice, education about fiberglass pool cracks.
Thanks!
