Thanks for the feedback. I thought it was odd about the returns as well, but I asked 2 people at the store and said yes it can be returned after opened. It's doing a good job so far, but the Seagull Pro for 1/2 the price right now is making me second guess if I shouldn't give it another shot...

I think someone mentioned that it should be back on sale at Leslie’s during Memorial Day sale weekend. I’m fairly certain that I will bite myself next time I see a price drop.

And to add to the mix, a video "review" (really unboxing and quick run) of a Dolphin Liberty 200: At $999 versus ~$1200 for Polaris (on sale), I think I would lean towards the Polaris. Note that this is the 200, not the higher end models.

Thanks for the feedback. I did end up creating a short pigtail for the pump as the wires were just a mess as most of you all saw. Jimrahbe is correct. At the time, I didn't realize all my relays were filled, but they are, so I'm sort of stuck. I'll likely end up returning the automation...

Moved from here. I purchased both the B&D 2HP pump and automation interface. I have the pump running now and all seems to be fine in the past 24 hours that I have it hooked up. I'm now working on trying to use automation adapter and I'm trying to get everything hooked into my Pentair Easytouch...
