    High TA

Test numbers from today: FC: 20, Recorded as 20. I stopped adding R-871 at 40 drops and the solution did not go to clear CC: 0, I'm not sure this is correct because the FC number is not correct pH: 8.2 TA: 80 CH: 475 CYA: 60 CSI: 0.61 Salt: 2800 Given the high FC is affecting the tests and...

    High TA

Thanks for the archives they are a bit more detailed than the instructions that come with the TF-Pro testing kit. The test kit instructions led me to believe that solution had to turn red after adding the R-0009. After reading the extended test kit directions it seems I should stop counting...

    High TA

FC: 35 TA: 600 CYA: 70 TEMP: 75 PH: 8.2 CH: 575 SALT: 2800 CSI: 1.55 Today the TA jumped to + 600. I stopped adding R-0009 after 60 drops and the solution had only turned to a light orange. It did not turn to red. PH had been over 8.2 for a few weeks. I have been added 2-3 cups of 31.5%...

    Small Stain

It’s 5:15 here in Lattitude Margaritaville so I have already taken your advice on the beverage.

    Small Stain

Thanks for pointing that out and I was aware of it. But in pool math it says that there is no recommended chemical to lower free chlorine levels. It goes on to say exposure to sun can help to speed up the process. So I’m not sure what to do to bring it back down. It seems like I just have to...

    Valve Set Up

This a two part question. 1) How can I tell what pipes control what. I’m not sure the labels are correct. 1 indicates waterfall, 2 isn’t labeled, 3 indicates skimmer and 4 main drain. 2) What is the correct positioning for the valves. The pump controls the pool and water fall.

    Small Stain

FC 19 TA 100 CYA 60 TEMP 88 Ph 8.2 CH 500 SALT 2600 CSI 0.78 I have notice a small dime size rust spot (top left of picture) in the deep end of the pool. There is also a small black spot below it. Do have an idea what may have cause them and how to remove them?

    Where to start?

Thanks, today the orange turned back to yellow. Yesterday I added 2lbs of dry stabilizer in an attempt to raise the CYA. It probably didn’t have an affect on the FC. In any advent I think the pool chemistry is in good shape. I’ll just have to wait until the FC drops to 10 before lowering the...

    Where to start?

I do use the fas/dpd. The orange I see is when using R-0600 in the comparator block on the left (yellow side ) has always been yellow until this week.

    Where to start?

So the orange CL reading is ok even though the comparison is yellow? I don’t need to make any adjustments?

    Where to start?

The pool is clear but today the CL level turned to orange. On Monday the water level was lowered about six inches, a hand rail installed on the sun deal and the water level was raised back to normal on Thursday. The PB used a small amount (maybe two cups in total) to spot remove some small...
