PoolMath - Recommended target levels for Cl

I have some feedback related to the Target Free Chlorine levels as shown in the new PoolMath. From the Overview page I can click on most of the various test values and it opens a page that shows your target and you can see what you need to add if you are not at your target level. My feedback...

    IAquaLink scheduling

I agree with @PoolGate, Filter-pump should be scheduled for the whole duration of the runtime, and the low speed function of the pump should be connected to the filter pump relay. Then it always runs low speed when the filter / pump is on. Then schedule your Pool High speed (or the Aux...

    iAquaLink upgrade- sorry another post

I believe that the IQ30-RS upgrade kit comes with an entire new main RS control board that you just swap in, rather than the smaller processor board that plugs on to the back of the main board.

    Solar cover reel?

Put the solar reel across the top end of the pool, then fold part of the cover over the top of itself and roll it up. See marked up photo:

    Solar Diverter Valve

I don’t recommend ever closing the ball valves on the solar feed pipes unless you need to do service on panels or such. With the ball valves closed you WILL dead head the filter output should the solar valve activate. Your valve handle positions appear to be correct for your setup. When the...

    Solar Diverter Valve

It does look like the filter is being deadheaded, but it looks like there is also a tee behind the chlorinator. If that pipe on the right heading up the wall is the solar input, then the solar valve is blocking the bypass (when in the deadheaded position) and forcing the flow up the solar feed...

    Pump Watt Usage

That’s only a +/- 5% power variation and likely limited by the accuracy of the power measurement circuitry. Also consider that the line voltage varies throughout the day, probably more than you think it does. In addition temperature variations can change the results of the power measurement...

Neptune NPTQ270 controlled via Jandy Aqualink RS485/modbus

Interestingly enough the latest Century EVO motors have firmware that is equipped with what they are marketing as "Century Connect", the ability to automatically talk to Hayward, Pentair, and Jandy automation systems via the RS485 link. I don't know about the Hayward, or Pentair systems, but in...

Neptune NPTQ270 controlled via Jandy Aqualink RS485/modbus

Modbus is a specific protocol and this is also used as the native command protocol on the Century Vgreen motors. While Modbus is the protocol there are certain commands such as "set demand (speed)" "go", "stop",etc. that pass information from the control system to the motor. That document you...

Jandy Aqualink Problems! I'm 99% there!!

I found a brochure on the various different versions of the Aqualink systems and your model RS-2/14 Dual is meant for systems that have dual sets of equipment (separate pump and heater) for the pool and spa. As such it doesn't understand switching the JVA intake and return valves automatically...

Jandy Aqualink Problems! I'm 99% there!!

I’m not sure what the non Combo system reports on that help screen. I know that @PoolGate has a non-combo system, maybe he can check his help screen and see what it reports for his system.

Jandy Aqualink Problems! I'm 99% there!!

You mentioned Aux's B7 and B8, I assume this means you have at least a 16 function system? Where are your Intake valve and Return valve actuators plugged into? Are they plugged into the intake JVA and return JVA sockets on the main RS Control panel, or do you have them plugged in somewhere...
