My junction box for my pool light is on my equipment pad. Could this maybe be an auto refill? There is a return line that installers found closed off under my original liner when I had it replaced last month.

3rd owners of a home with a 20 year old swimming pool. Behind the pool in the landscape bed I found an irrigation valve box with plumbing and electric. It looks to have been neglected for many years. We are losing about an inch of water a day and I’ve been digging around trying to figure it out...
