I know this is an old thread but sending a quick THANK YOU as this was helpful in diagnosing a persistent issue with re-igniting every 30 seconds or so. Turned out the ground connection at the terminal just needed to be pushed on / crimped more tightly.

I have the PB max, which is purchased back in 2021. It worked well for the first couple of seasons, but when I tried it recently the suction power appears to be way down. I will have to check to see if something is going on.

For us the real "hidden" costs are the crazy amount we've spent (and continue to spend) on food and beverage! In the summer we're entertaining friends and neighbors usually 2x a week, our food bills are hefty! Wouldn't change a thing though....

Hi Jim - I bought it on a whim a couple years back and then realized that after the first year manually dosing wasn't so bad after all. :) Prefer to simplify wherever possible these days.

Just found this thread as I had the same issue with one of my skimmers nearly sucking dry. THANK YOU for the easy fix, the weir door was stuck :)
