    Spa Jet manufacturer???

All, I'm really getting stumped today looking through the various options of spa jets/manufacturers. I was leaning towards using Waterway Poly Storm jets but came to a realization today that they don't offer a range of flow options. Every Poly Storm jet is 10 GPM. If I wanted more flow, I...

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

It's all good tho. I'll just have them move stuff around if needed. I also just realized that I'm running an 5" thick armrest on 3 sides of the spa. That will give me plenty of thickness to get the lines past one another. I think it's non-issue.

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

It's bagged up with a footer on two sides, tanning ledge on one side and pool on the other. The deck on the side is already bagged and filled. I don't want to destroy all the bagging work to run lines.

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

the issue is that the spa is raised above ground, not buried. there is no option to come in from the side so it needs to come up vertically inside the spa wall from the floor. the only areas to run the lines other than the spa wall is inside the spa seat/bench area.

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

a few questions/concerns... would each jet loop need it's own air supply or could all 10 jets be fed off of one 2.5" air line? because of design constraints, all the plumbing is going to come up from the floor. i'm a little concerned how i get the main lines to pass by the lower water...

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

as mentioned, 6 stations. 2 stations with 3 jet body and 4 stations with single jets. i intend to put the same size orifices in each jet so they should all need the same volume of water. i think the best way to ensure i have maximum and balanced flow from every jet in the system is to have...

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

also, i believe if i run a 2.5" spa loop or two 2" loops connected to one another, that would be able to handle the flow and not be excessive

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

i was considering having 10 jets max. two 3 jet gunite bodies and 4 single jet bodies. i figure that with both pumps on, i should be able to get at least 170 gpm combined so that would give me 17 gpm each which seems more than enough.

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

Would plumbing it like this work? One spa loop for all the jets. Would both pumps work together this way or could this cause issues? The 3hp intelliflo VS pumps are already purchased otherwise I would consider the XF.

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

OK, so if you separate the jets in the spa into two different pump circuits, how do you plumb the loops around the spa for each circuit? It would seem at some point you would need to have the lines pass by one another and it would take up too much room in the spa wall. Are you not running...

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

What you said about two pumps got me thinking. I have one 3hp pump that was going to run jets only. The pool's 3hp pump (when in spa mode) was only going to return hot water to the spa. Now that I think of it, why not plumb the pool (heater) pump into the same jet loop with the dedicated jet...

why do you have two air pipes?

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

Sure, i can plumb it as such and just add a blower later if I feel the need. How do you prevent bugs from crawling into the air line and making a home? Do u have a screen/air filter on it?

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

Good info. Thanks. Maybe a blower is what we do. Maybe add an open to atmosphere valve by the blower so I can use it without the blower running. Just let the line suck as much air as I allow it

but as you can see, the 3 jet body has 1 air inlet. i assume someone makes an air control knob that is big enough to work with this body.

i was using a multi jet body it as an example to the air question. i dont know what gunite housing(s) im using yet because i haven't finalized what i want to do. i may use singles, doubles, triples or whatever. i'm not set on any specific set-up yet. i just know that im planning on around 8...

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

Yeah, intelliflo 3 VS with around 30 ft lines. I'm not using a bigger pump or lines. I'll get what I get out of this setup and be happy enough. I don't want a knob for each and every jet. That would look awful. I'll probably be contacting CMP or waterway to find out what they recommend...

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

I'm leaning towards air control knobs on the coping rather than an all or nothing blower setup. I don't like the look of knobs but I like the ability to control how much air is allowed into the jets. I'll probably split the jets into 2 groups with 1 air controller each. Can 1 air controller...

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

I understand the Hartford loop and hydraulics (within reason). I like the idea of passive air line control for the ability to turn air injection on/off at will. I know my wife will not want to have air on all the time when she is in the spa. With a blower and check valve, I've seen that when...

Traditional air venturi vs blower for spa

What are people's opinions on using a traditional passive air venturi set up on their Spas vs a blower to push-inject air. I should have around 15 gpm flow from each jet so I'm not underpowered and dont feel that I need a blower to make up for the lack of jet pressure that many people...

    Multi nozzle spa jets

Has anyone here used these multi jet nozzles in their pool spas? I assume one of these multi jet nozzles would demand the water volume of three normal spa jets. Is this the case or are these actually 3 smaller nozzles and require less flow than 3 normal spa jets?

Urethane between coping, tile and deck?

What Laticrete waterproofing do you recommend? I'm trying to do some research on the differences. I just haven't found a ton of reviews on XYPEX so I'd rather use something that is widely used across the industry. Since I'm using Laticrete for the thinset, it might make sense to just use...
