New SWG, Does not seem to produce at advertised rates

Before talking with Discount Salt Pool / Cirupool you should check to ensure that the controller has the correct cell version. For the UL 55 it is either t-15 or c-60 depending on the age of the controller. Sorry for the vagueness of this answer, but I couldn't find any definite answer on their...

My wiring diagram for current sensing relay

First, I am not an Electrician, and second, Canada's code may differ. Switching only one line of a 240V circuit is allowed per the code. The current sensing relay is considered a controlling device, not a disconnect. Your circuit breaker serves as the circuit disconnect. When you service...

How do you connect a Pentair superflow VS Pump to a Aqua Rite SWG without using a time clock?

EH is the correct model. The output to the SWCG is wired to the "normally open" contact. This results in no power to the SWCG as long as the current to the motor is below the trip point. Once the motor current exceeds the trip point, power is applied to the SWCG.

Replacement caps for edges at stairs

Did you ask the company that installed your liner? I was missing all four of my caps and got replacements from the builder of my pool. Cost around $7 for a set of four.

    Triac Based Current Sensing Relay

Wrapping the power line through the sensing coil two or more times reduces the sensing range proportionally. Just divide the sensing range by the number of wraps. For example, I wrap the power line through the sensing coil three times, reducing the 1-10amp range to 0.333 to 3.33amps.

    3 months into SWCG question

CT here also. This is my sixth season with a SWCG and I never had to add MA to my pool. PH stays around 7.4 with a rock solid TA of 60.

    Calling all Pureline SWG owners

My pool is a little bigger at 30K gallons. With a CYA of 70 ppm, I have mine set at 22% running 24/7 and it maintains my FC at 10 ppm. Per Pool Math using that setting, my Pureline 60k should be adding 2.7 ppm per day. I've got somewhere between 2500 and 3000 operating hours on my cell based...

Use regular cartridge on a pentair Quad DE filter

I converted my Quad 60 DE to a Clean and Clear 320 by swapping my DE filters for the CC 320 cartages. They have been installed since Memorial Day weekend and the water looks just as good as when I was using DE. I bought these cartridges, Clean & Clear® Plus 32 0 The OPT-320 has a slightly...

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

convert Pentair Quad DE to C&C

I thinking about converting my Quad 60 to a cartridge. I've got the proper-sized cartridge picked out but not sure why I need to remove my multiport valve. I understand that I can't run with the cartridge in backwash but why do I need to replace the valve?

Another SWG-curious pool owner...questions about brands, automation integration, etc

You can find the same system with different branding from various suppliers. Circupool offers the Universal series and InyoPools has the Purline series. Since the pandemic, the availability of these systems has been erratic...

    Cloudflare driving me nuts.

Same step up here, same problem with Cloudflare. A least I don't have to click on all the images with traffic lights anymore. Cloudflare doesn't seem to trust us Linux users. Using the User Agent Switcher and Manager extension set to Firefox / Windows 10 seems to eliminate the need to prove...

Can Anyone Recommend a CircuPool CORE-55? If So Why?!

The Core only has four power settings, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%, so you are going to have to adjust both run time and power level to dial it in. That would be a deal breaker for me.

A few comments on my RJ60+

I always wondered about the 180-minute cycle times until I found this thread from 2007 which had this explanation for long cycle times. Regarding your other comments; Changing the power level from 60% to 70% over 8 hours will only increase FC by 0.5 ppm, so I doubt you would notice the...

Which Circupool SWG to get for 15,000g AGP?

Did you read the manuals? Yes, the Universal has a salt reading. The last three years of the RJ's limited warranty isn't something I would use to make a purchasing decision.
