Random question that might need another thread, but some smart dudes are in here so I will ask. Thread hijack not intended. I have a big ol' Malibu or similar transformer plugged into GFCI with 30-40 lights running off of it. Can I switch just the bulbs to LED and use the same transformer...

Costco has decent selection in the summer of good quality items. Frontgate online has excellent quality stuff and is pricey. Last year when I visited Phoenix we stopped by a really cool patio furniture store, can't remember the name, huge selection. J.

The valve for my water feature has an actuator and is in the pool return line. The valve can shut water feature off 100% or divert any percentage of flow to the water feature and/or pool returns. [/URL][/IMG]

We have an auto cover that is run by a key switch on the wall. If the cover is open and the key is turned to start closing the cover the valve for our deck jets shuts. On the opposite spectrum, if the cover is closed and the key is turned to open the cover the valve opens to run the deck jets...

We go the Costco route, they are on year three and doing well. Bought cushions at Lowe's and keep them put away unless they are in use, still look new after three years. I always drool over the Frontgate catalog and website, really nice stuff, a bit out of my reality price-wise J.

After reading through these, I need to get my CYA up to 50. CYA has been hanging around 20-25. I have only used bleach since startup 2 years ago and get a good amount of splash out with 4 boys in it everyday all summer. I feared the CYA monster after reading all the stories here on TFP and...

Here's a quick pic of the jets on, they can be adjusted to enter the pool at different angles. The kids and the dogs love 'em. It is a great feature and I would not hesitate to get them again.

I couldn't find any pics of the jets on my computer, I will have to take some this weekend. As far as closing, after I drain the skimmer and pump and open all the valves up I squirt some RV antifreeze back down the jets with a squeeze bottle. It has worked so far, in NM, with freezing temps...

I put six in to have some noise and action if we wanted it. I didn't care for any of the cascade options we had with our simple rectangle design. We love them, easy on/off as the valve is wired to the pool cover key, can also be run manually at the pad. I'll see if i can find a pic. J.

I just got a cheap-ish nightstand/hutch/wine holder thing and had the upholstery guy make a waterproof cover for it. Works like a champ and keeps the sun/dirt off of it too when not in use.

I was doing the monthly rounds yesterday, checking on the winter status of all the pool equipment. Took off the skimmer lid to see if anything exciting was going on in there. There was water in the standpipe. I am in NM so we do get freezing weather and all the equipment does get winterized...

Good afternoon! I am going to try adding a batch of salt on my non-SWCG bleach managed BBB pool to see how the "feel" is. Shooting for 2000-2500ppm. How long does it take for the salt ppm to lower/disappear? I figured it breaks down over time correct? Thanks, J.

Re: Auto cover rope replacement for CoverPools SAVE-T COVER I am interested as well so I can do my own repairs in the future. Watching for info! There is a PDF owner's guide online somewhere that might help you. I will also post up in the next couple weeks on how my less than a year old...

Are those nuts and posts for the wire or is it soldered on there? Get a matching bulb and re-install. Should be ok! J.

I use Penofin here in the desert SW. Pricey, but great stuff. www.penofin.com I have used the blue label for many years with great success. Takes two coats to look great on bare wood. A single coat every two or three years after that. Good luck! J.
