    Check valve at pump suction

Yes spa is on a separate shared 5 hp pump with pool so not a worry there. I am just angry at the plumber who didn’t care to ask me or PB who plumbed 3” suction line for this dedicated pump for rain curtain to maintain needed flow.

    Check valve at pump suction

Yikes. That is my worry too, as pump needs to push at least 120 gpm for rain curtain and I wanted to run it at lower to mid speeds. That was the whole reason to plump 3” suction line for this water feature pump. Let me talk to PB tomorrow.

    Check valve at pump suction

My PB’s plumber relocated 3HP Pentair VS pump and I later noticed that he just cut old 2’ pipe to the edge and left that inside check valve and then spigot new 2.5” pipe in n the check valve. Pump has 3” suction line before this check valve. It looks like pipe size is going from 3” suction line...

Intellicenter upgrade - screen not powering up

Yes looks like main board is dead. it was an open box item from ebay so no avenue for warranty. :(

Intellicenter upgrade - screen not powering up

I reconnected the transformer again to 120 V ie black to L and purple to N and checked AC V on output. Reds read 26.7 v and oranges read 20v or so. So it's sending power to both relays and system boards. Whats isnt making sense is why only the auxs on expansion board are getting power and there...

Intellicenter upgrade - screen not powering up

Pump's 485 connection is good and no shorts Small little pins for wifi has 24 v Nothing happening when expansion board is not connected So looks like system only has 24 v supply that is powering up valves etc but not sure about 18 v that IC needs. Is there anyway to check the voltage safely...

Intellicenter upgrade - screen not powering up

I just upgraded from ET-8 to IC i10PS and connected everything as per pentair manual but its not booting up. Valves and relays get power but screen and lan jack are totally off. When powered up, I see lights on daughter card blink then large clicking not sure relay or CB and nothing happens. Its...

    Pool pump plumbing

Thank you so much! I have 2 water features, 1 spa spill over and 21k gallons pool and old 3 HP intelliflo with 130 gpm was not enough for all to flow properly and it was too noisy at top rpm. So I hope it will be more efficient and less noisy pump.

    Pool pump plumbing

Yeah thats the route I might take. However this manual says you can add this card and add more pumps etc via 485 cable. Also, I noticed that my PB has hooked up 5 HP pump that draws 20-21 A to a 20 A breaker. Is it going to trip the breaker often? I haven't run this pump yet as pool is getting...

    Pool pump plumbing

My PB has installed a new filter pump and when I looked at Pentair manual it seemed to be done wrong!! Spa drain is under diverter valve. I am worried about that big loop right before pump suction inlet. Can you experts chime in and suggest few alternatives so pump is not working hard and fail...

Poll- Blue iridescent glass tile grout

Sounds like a good idea. Pool has Pentair salt chlorinator to maintain chlorine and intellichem does the water chemistry ie acid injection. here are the readings from intellichem Could it be something different than calcium buildup as it doesnt come off with vinegar?

Thanks fellas. I have intellichem and a pool maintenance guy but he hasn't dealt with epoxy grout and full glass tile pool so not sure what can even come out from glass and epoxy!. My PB used the same Oceanside installation method and followed whole 7 steps with all laticrete membranes and...
