Just tested the water during my SLAM. FC is at 16, but after 2 days my CC is at 2.5. Water isn’t changing to clear much and is still blueish and quite cloudy. Have been vacuuming and brushing frequently. Any suggestions on how to get it to clear up?

What is your CYA? Just checking that 16 is the proper SLAM level. Are you brushing often?
Tested CYA today.. It is below 20. Do I need to stop my SLAM to address that? Or should I continue with the SLAM and maintain closer to 10ppm FC? CC is fluctuating between 1 and 1.5 currently. Cleaning the filter almost daily as that is how often it is getting to 25% above base and also brushing 2 times per day and running my robot 1-3 times per day as well.

CC indicates that the SLAM is still necessary, and FC reduction shows that it's working.
Keep on with it, but wise to raise CYA to 30. UV is not chlorines' friend.

How long does it usually take for the CYA to increase after adding it to the pool? I put it into a sock and put it in the skimmer basket as I do not have a good way to suspend it in front of the return. Sock is pretty much empty. CYA isn't reading much higher.
Also wanted to note that I'm not losing much if any chlorine overnight at this point. But as you noted, UV is eating it up during the day. Lost ~1.5ppm of FC from 11am to 3:30pm.

Once you add the CYA to the pool (skimmer in your case), consider it in the pool water and dose FC accordingly.
The CYA reading may not increase on the test for several days.

Correct - you can round it to 20 ppm and add to what you previously had.
Use the FC/CYA Levels to determine regular and SLAM dosing requirements.

The reason for the sock method is to avoid CYA caking into the filter grids, causing potentially slower dispersal through the water.
I can see the bottom!! Still some cloudiness to get cleared up, but it is certainly reassuring to see that this is working. Once it is totally clear, passes the OCLT and has a CC of 0.5 or less - what are the best steps to take on a regular basis to ensure this doesn't happen again?
