Our first question back to you is how does the water look? Is it 100% crystal clear to the bottom? If not, or if you have any doubt about possible algae (even if you don't see it), do an
Overnight Chlorine Loss Test first.
But looking at those numbers at face-value:
1 - An FC of 7 is usually fine, but with no CYA (stabilizer) to buffer its strength from the pool and swimmers it's very strong. I would add stabilizer via the sock method with a CYA goal of at least 30 for now. You can always add more later as it gets warmer.
2 - CH test ends when it's a light baby blue. Sounds like you got it, but you need to be sure of the pool surface. If it's vinyl, then the CH that low is fine. But if you have a plaster or pebble type surface, it's way too low. Double check and let us know.
3 - I like to refer to the TA color as Barbie pink. The key is when it stops changing color. Once it no longer gets darker, that's your TA.
So for now, get a sock soaking for the stabilizer. After about 30 min of soaking, squeeze it to get all the mush out of the sock and you're done. Do not pour stabilizer granules directly into the skimmer. Let the sock do its thing. Use the
PoolMath to help you with the dosage amount if needed. Also confirm the pool surface type. Post some pics if you need us to see it. And lastly, the quality of the water. If you have any doubt about water clarity or algae, do the
Overnight Chlorine Loss Test to be safe.
We'll coach you from there. Let us know if you have any questions.
