OmniLogic - not connecting to router

I recently bought a home in Southern Utah. When I set up my internet service with the local ISP, the EERO 6 router they brought out worked with my OmniLogic hardwire ethernet connection. I bought the exactly same EERO 6 router, got it set up, had the internet company add the MAC address to their system, and Internet is now working everywhere in our house - except for our Hayward OmniLogic. Panel is still hardwired. When clicking on Network Diagnostics on the panel, it shows 'Ethernet: connected' and yet there is no IP Address being assigned. Again, this only changed when using my EERO 6 vs the ISP EERO 6. I feel like I have tried everything - power cycling router and/or panel and/or TPlink switch, plugging pool directly into EERO 6, etc, etc. The only thing I can think is that there is some security setting blocking the IP address from either sending to the panel or the panel is not receptive to it for some reason. Been completely offline for three days. Would love some help. Thanks (posting here after first posting in the wrong section - my apologies)

Step one is to plug a laptop into the port on the router that you are using to verify that the port is working and providing an IP address. If the laptop can't connect it's something in the router.

If step one works, then step two is to plug the OmniLogic cable back into the router and then take the ethernet cable going into your OmniLogic and plug it into a laptop. If the laptop connects and gets an IP address, then the line is good, and the issue is with the OmniLogic or possibly a setting on the router.

If the laptop can't connect, then you have a bad ethernet cable. If the laptop connects, the next thing I would check is if the new router has IPV6 enabled. Many older or simpler devices don't play well with IPV6, and nothing I currently know of uses IPV6 in a home setting.
