Best and easy way to clean hot tub filters?

I just spray mine out once a week with the hose. Every 3 months at water change time, I soak it in chemical cleaner and use my 2nd filter that was cleaned prior and ready for use. This way Im cycling between two filters.

I spray mine out with a hose roughly once a week (it depends on how cold it is, how much other stuff I have going on, and how much we used the tub). I have found the filter flossers and other such gizmos to be no better than a standard hose end sprayer.

I have two sets of filters. when the one in the tub is looking greyish, I swap in the new pair. One set of my filters stacks nicely in a 5 gal pail. I add a 1/2 cup of OxyClean in the pail, add the filters, fill with warm water, put the lid on and let it soak for +/- 24, I then rinse the filters out in my laundry sink and let them dry. When they are dry, I seal them up in the pail, and save them for the next filter change.

I used some random filter cleaner at first (until I ran out) then used diluted simple green d but I have found that just rinsing occasionally & then letting them soak in the tub with Ahhsome at purge time (rinsing before & after) seems sufficient.
I recently tried soaking my oldest one in a little dishwasher detergent & oxi clean before rinsing well but it really didn’t look any different after. I am using the Aqua clarity in the spa for the last year or so and it keeps the filter pretty clean. Every thing rinses away easily.
