Got 12 chlorine Gal. late Nov/ early Dec at Wally World. Some please explain this weird date stuff on here. Wondering what I should be looking for before I resupply for the summer. Thank you.

It’s definitely old by now (299 day is roughly late October). It’s probably closer to 8% than 10% as long as it was stored in a cool dark space. You can still use it but you probably will not get the FC increase you expect from calculations. Use it, add what you think you need and then adjust the needed amount after retesting.

August 24th 2022 … wow, if you have the receipt you should return that. It’s almost 2 years past its manufacturing date. It’s probably a few % chlorine and mostly salty high pH water.

I dunno who needs to hear this, but old jugs or last years leftovers still work great for cleaning projects. I use mine to clean my vinyl siding and PVC fence each spring.

If I still have a jug after that, it gets demoted to laundry duty.

I guess I am not getting it;
If 23299 is the 299th day of 2023
why is
23622
The 236th day of 2022.
They switch yyddd to dddyy?

Different manufacturers use different date code formats. Even the same product can have different date code formats if they come from different plants.
