    The 2 holes are different sizes. The one not near the autofill has a female threaded end. The other hole in the 2nd pic is a little bigger and has no thread.     To clarify the 2nd pic with the pool lid is where the autofill contraption is. About 12" down in the pool there is another hole which I think is the actual fill hole.
