Not 100% sure since we have always used municipal water and didn’t have a problem before. I now have a hose filter on before the pool to ensure the iron is removed so I have metal free fill water. So I guess I keep sequestering until I have replaced enough water to reduce the iron.

I guess my question was more on keeping the FC levels up if I am losing water, as I vacuum to waste, and adding fresh from the hose to refill. IF it isn't thick do you not do the vacuum to waste and just SLAM until the algae dies and then have the filter take it up.
