I actually contacted Circupool support and sent them the video. The rep had a service tech and manager review and said it shouldn't be doing this, especially for a brand new pump. They're sending me a replacement. I checked the thumb screw and made sure o ring was on and seated. No issues...

Yep, I closed 3 way valve to drain and put hose into basket to go out the skimmer. I also used the tornado blower to blow out to clear the line.
