Hot tub buttons and dials causing issues

I'm not sure why my post was deleted. I mistakenly made the post in the hot tub water chemistry subforum and then deleted it and posted it here. Now they are both gone Anyway, can anybody identify what manufacturer made this hot tub and what the buttons and dials do? It's about 6 ft across and...

OK to hook Pentair SolarTouch controller to Intermatic timer?

I have the older Max-Flo VS. the program allows a certain number of hours at X RPM, then it either turns off or runs at low speed indefinitely after that. There’s no timer to repeat the cycle the following day, which is what I want; and which is what the Intermatic does. I just was worried that...

OK to hook Pentair SolarTouch controller to Intermatic timer?

My pump is a Hayward Max-Flo VS. It does not have an internal timer that I’m aware of. The solar controller is a Pentair SolarTouch, which can be linked to a Pentair pump to coordinate the time, but it doesn’t do that with my existing pump. I don’t like the idea of using an external timing...

OK to hook Pentair SolarTouch controller to Intermatic timer?

Bump I just want to make sure that it’s common or even acceptable practice to have the solar controller and get powered on and off on a daily basis like this. It’s essentially plugging and unplugging it every day without properly, turning it off from the controls

OK to hook Pentair SolarTouch controller to Intermatic timer?

I just installed a solar pool system with a Pentair SolarTouch controller. The SolarTouch is hooked up to an Intermatic timer that also controls a variable flow pump. That means when the timer hits the “ON” tripper, both the pump and the solar controller turn on, and the “OFF” tripper turns them...

Trying to decide which solar pool panels to get

OK, so no particular advantages or design flaws? The slight incline makes sense. My priority is longevity.

Is there any downside to the horizontal Suntrek panels? Their ST panels also use separate tubes

Trying to decide which solar pool panels to get

I've read that individual tubes aren't great at heat retention when it's windy and so individual tube designs perform poorly in the wind. How big of an issue is this? Or is it exaggerated by the solid panel sellers?

Trying to decide which solar pool panels to get

I can't find Heliocol in the LA area, but one installer does use Sunstar, which I believe are the same or very similar. However, the price they quoted is $1000+ more than iSwim and Suntrek One of the companies said I could install a solid (not mesh) critter guard if I'm worried about lift.

Trying to decide which solar pool panels to get

What are your thoughts wind lift causing the panels to cause damage to the roof since mine would be on racks? Since these are malleable, I imagine they could bend like a kite for the wind to pull at the racks.

Trying to decide which solar pool panels to get

Hi all. I’ve decided that we will get a solar pool heating system for our pool, which is in the 12-15K gallon range. We have a hot tub as well. Our gas heater broke and we currently have no heat other than the Southern CA sun. Some details about my system- 2 owners ago (>20 yrs ago), there was...
